Stick figures

I like my stick figure drawings, I like to vector them also. As I was scrolling through my huge photobucket account, I stumbled upon these small images that I used to draw for some site I had, 3-4 years ago.

Trip, part 3

The Getty Center is located at “1200 Getty Center Drive Los Angeles, California 90049″(it’s a museum of art) blah blah, at the top of some hill, we went there because of the Center’s architecture, not for the exhibitions, still… I didn’t pay much attention to the buildings. You need to take the Getty Tram, to get to the top, the view from it is awesome:

We ran to some balcony, to get a glance of LA, I loved that feeling.

There was some neat gardens, like the desertic one:

Ralphie and I got bored, and went inside some of the Pavillions, the one we liked the most, was hosting the exhibition: “Please be seated”, some video installation (more info on the link), of some 18th century chairs.
This is my favorite picture of it:

Please be seated

The rest of the place had 18th century furniture, beds and chairs:

The last floor had a sketch gallery, Ralphie and I sat there and drew stuff, I chose this painting:

this one :3

My result wasn’t that great, but the guy at the place liked it:

It was a fun experience, I couldn’t buy any art books, or souvenirs, because I wasted my money at chinatown, but I want to go again >__>

Trip, part 2

After finishing with the Walt Disney Concert Hall, we went to the MOCA (Museum of Contemporary Art), we didn’t enter the exhibition but, we had fun around…

Our teacher was like: OMG, THE GRAND AVENUE EMPTY ON SATURDAY. I don’t know if that’s cool or not, but I took a picture:

Grand Avenue

For some reason, tall buildings fascinate me.

Skyscrapers

There was some nice sculptures around the MOCA.

Weird thing

Dead Airplanes

We had the chance to pimp one of them.

We had one hour left, and my friends wanted to visit chinatown, wich is located like.. a mile and a half, downhill from the grand avenue, or that’s what some guy told us at the MOCA information desk. We ran like no tomorrow, following signs and some map we found at the civic center:

LA map

Chinatown ^ that way

We found Chinatown, and we bought like any other tourist, random stuff: 2 DOLLARS EACH, BUY, BUY IT, VERY GOOD, VERY PRETTY, BUY, like some chinese woman was telling us to.

Chinatown

I didn’t take many pictures, just the ones above, of Chinatown. We had measured time, so we ended up exploring some small mall, obviously everything was written in chinese, we couldn’t tell much, but we bought some chinese shirts and other accessories.
We had to return to the bus, and go to the Getty Center.

Trip, part 1

I’d like to post pictures of the trip we had to LA and the Getty center, 1 and a half weeks ago. I’d so take a bus at the borderline and get lost at LA again, it was so awesome. We went to downtown, I didn’t take many pictures, I was too excited for that. Another thing… downtown LA was EMPTY, on saturday… o_o

View of the borderline, where cars cross to the US.

Borderline

Then we made a stop somewhere, to eat… but, there was this Carl’s Jr. with this warning:”This Area Contains A Chemical Known To The State Of California To Cause Birth Defects Or Other Reproductive Harm”, but still the place was full as…

Dangerous Carl's Jr.

Our first stop was the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, (wich I couldn’t visit, I ran out of time), but while getting there, I was delighted with the urban art and related, it almost looked like Tijuana, except for the skyscrapers.

Urban art or something?

Yo yo peace

We were told to visit the Grand Avenue, where most of the famous buildings were located. On our way there we saw some parks, the civic center and other buildings I can’t recall.
I liked this fountain:

Until I got the first glance of the Walt Disney Concert Hall:

Since it’s all made of Steel (not sure yet), the sun reflects and doubles it’s impact on its surface, as if it was a mirror, it’s so hard to walk near the front stairs without having to cover your face, since the brightness and temperature are too strong. Regardless, the “Walt Disney Concert Hall” letters were nice.

SSBB

This is how it’s turning out for me:

Interest on brawl

Perfection

Worlds clash together, decisions are tough.

Fixed the root directory & Brawl

No more lavender-rain.awardspace.com/wordpress (yes, because I can’t pay the hosting service), it’s now lavender-rain.awardspace.com >_>, if I want new pages I’ll link them from here.

Also, yesterday we went to pick up our preordered SSBB

The only ‘BUT’ it’s that I don’t have a Wii. We have been trying to buy one since january ;_; but, they’re sold out, agdfadshf, unless we order one through the internet (but our lack of credit card makes it impossible).

Assholes

Everyone and their grandma are assholes, the worst ones are always close to me for some reason. But whatever, this is how it was:
